MDisputes Commits in Facilitating Energy Independence Achievement
Achieving energy independence will require new infrastructure. Considering that traditional timetables for developing and executing energy projects are measured in years, a key issue is how quickly new infrastructure can be brought on-line.
On 5 May 2022 a small group of energy stakeholders gathered at the Florence Chamber of commerce premises to discuss ideas for accelerating new energy EPC projects. This included means of identifying, eliminating and/or mitigating risks and causes of delays in creating new infrastructure, and how to accomplish it without compromising carbon-reduction objectives.
The summit led to the adoption of certain principles to be shared more broadly in order to help achieve energy independence on a shortened time scale and without deadlocks in the project implementation.
